Lagos is home to some of Africa’s most talented photographers. Yet the infrastructure to showcase, discover, and commission their work remains fragmented — scattered across Instagram feeds, WhatsApp groups, and personal websites.
We’re building that infrastructure.
Lagos Faces is a curated directory of photography talent in Lagos. Not a marketplace. Not a social network. A professional directory — like models.com, but for the creative talent that shapes African visual culture.
Why it matters
The global creative industry discovers African talent through Western gatekeepers: international agencies, established platforms, filtered access. Meanwhile, brands, magazines, and creatives in Lagos struggle to find the best local photographers, often defaulting to whoever has the biggest Instagram following.
We believe Lagos’s photography talent should be discoverable on its own terms — by skill, specialization, and aesthetic, not algorithm.
How it works
We invite photographers whose work meets our standards. You build a profile. Potential clients find you. You decide who to work with.
No fees. No commission. Just a proper directory where your work speaks for itself.

This starts with photographers. We’re building toward a comprehensive creative directory — makeup artists, stylists, production designers, models — covering the full creative ecosystem that powers Lagos’s visual culture.
